La Tomatina

Since I am doing this event management course, I will start writing about famous festival and events around the world.

La Tomatina is a food fighting festival held in Spain every year on the last Wednesday of August. In 1945, a group of young people started a fight during an annual festival and later on threw tomatos at each other. After the repeat of the same event during consecutive years, La Tomatina was non-officialy established. Every year, more and more tomatos are used!

I guess it is simply the concept of being really stupid and having fun. :D
